Dropped 1 terabyte Western Digital My Passport External Hard Drive containing decades of work, formatted to MacBook, 800 GB's used, have other HD with 300 GB free, I am in a even more precarious position in life if i cannot retrieve and backup this info as it is how i feed myself Mac Disk Utilities/ Repair and Tech Support were of no help, i can't pay the 100's to 1'000's that some tech companies are asking and am between jobs and overwhelmed with family obligations, is there anyone out there that can help with this sleepless endeavor
 
You've just learned a valuable lesson, the hard way, about the value of backups. A dropped drive is not going to be recoverable by anything you can download via the Internet, and every time you mess with it you further reduce the probability of a successful recovery. If the data is that valuable then you have no choice but to take it to a professional recovery service and pay the price. However, keep in mind that even they do not guarantee 100% recovery for the price paid.
