Hey everyone,
I've tried looking, but didn't see a relevant answer. I've just build my first rig but am having some strange issues with it. I'm getting very sporadic/no video out of my motherboard and graphics card.
I've tried booting with my GPU installed and with it removed. I've tried both the DVI-D port on my GPU as well as the DVI-I port on my z87 and I get no video regardless.
Here's where it starts to get really weird:
If I haven't turned my computer on for an extended amount of time (like after waking up in the morning or getting home from work), I can get video! I've even probably installed Windows! (I got to the user setup screen). Once I restart though, I can't get anything. I can't even get into BIOS/UEFI.
The code on the motherboard used to display A2, but has been displaying A0 recently.
Here's my relevant specs:
Asus z87-Pro
Intel Core i5-4670K
GeForce GTX660
Samsung 840 Evo SSD (boot)
1TB Western Digital Green
DVD-R/W ODD
Rosewill Fortress 550W
When I can get to it, my UEFI sees my ODD, SSD, and HDD, so I don't think it's an issue with them. I'm fairly confident that it isn't from a lack of power either, since I get the same issue when I unplug the GPU.
I'm kinda stumped and don't want to take this in.
Any ideas?
