So I built my first computer without the help from family and I've run into a problem. I cannot install windows 7. Everything together and it fires up fine but anytime I attempt to install windows (windows 7 which I got a copy from dreamspark for school and using a flash drive, even tried windows 95 from cd) it tells me to reboot and select proper boot device. From the BIOS I believe it recognizes everything. I switched it over to AHCI. I'm stuck and I really want to get this up and running and I'm not sure where to begin. Any suggestions? Thanks in advance.

How do you create the flash drive? Are you sure, it is bootable?

I used ImgBurn to turn it into an ISO then put it on the flash drive.

I used ImgBurn to turn it into an ISO then put it on the flash drive.

Try again using the Windows 7 USB DVD Download Tool.

This may have solved it. I will post if this worked. It appears to be downloading now tho. Thank you so very much!
