I've already ordered MSI 970A-G43, but I just found out it has problems with CPUs that are 125w like the amd fx8320 which I wanted to get originally so I don't bottleneck my gpu. I have a evga gtx 760 sc so between the fx 83xx or fx 63xx that are 95w which one would you recommend so I get the best performance from my gpu.
Thanks

Let me speak from first hand experience. I have the fx 6300 overclocked to 4.4ghz alongside a r9 280x and the asus m5a97 r2.0 motherboard. My friend has a fx 8350 (his temps are too high even with an aftermarket cooler so he can't oc until he get's water cooling) and a 7950 with the same motherboard. I beat him significanlty in every game benchmark and he is reduced to having to put his settings down to 1600x900 just to get anywhere near my results on ultra that I am getting at 1920x1080. So the lesson that can be learned is: the fx 8350 really won't give you too much of an advantage over the 6 core, it's the graphics card that matters the most. If you do end up making the sensible choice and getting an fx 6300, overclock it(or maybe...

I built my PC about a week ago and got the FX 6300 for that exact reason. It will not bottleneck your GPU so don't worry. I also have the MB and it does perfect with the processor. save the money and use it to buy a better CPU fan. Believe me, youll need it. Stay away from the stock cooler whichever one you get though. But, I am very HAPPY with the FX 6300

That's one of the very few pet peeves I have with AMD, their compatibility. Otherwise they're quite good

Get the FX-6300 it'll be just fine and shouldn't bottleneck your GPU and if it does it will be very minor.

The 8300 is 95w too I'm thinking I'll get that since it's not much of a price difference and I can oc it to the speed of the 6300 but I haven't read anything from anyone with that setup so I'm a little hesitant

With the OP's motherboard I would not OC at all.

I would play it safe and get the FX 6300. It will do everything you could ask of it at reasonable speed.

I was thinking the 83xx but so many people were having problems and compatibility issues with MB bios's, I just got the fx6300. Didn't want to deal with any potential headache.
