Graphics corruption in Windows 7 after installing new video card and removing secondary card

I have a strange problem. I just installed an MSI R9 290 to replace my 7850, and at the same time removed my XFX 7750 which I was using to run my second monitor.

So after this (and now running dual monitor just off the R9 290) I started noticing weird graphics corruptions on my desktop when watching Twitch streams on the second monitor (black boxes/rectangles at random places) that go away once I mouse over them. I should note the main display is running at 1920x1080 and the second display is running at 1600x900.

Well after noticing these corruptions, I put the 7750 back in to run the second monitor, and then the graphics corruptions are no longer present. Any thoughts? I am not overclocking either video card.

its important that you install all graphics drivers 1st using that tool i gave you as having multiple drivers on for graphics will cause loads of problems, also always use the amd drivers and download the catalyst software suit

i had a problem myself with my 270, you need to use that tool to totally remove all previous drivers its the only way!, also you can install old versions of amd drivers and they can have problems

I did uninstall and reinstall the drivers before putting in the new card. The issue only shows up when just using the R9 290 in a dual monitor setup. The issue goes away once I put in the 7750 (with the R9 290) to run the second monitor.
