I have a simple question. I stupidly didn't buy a SSD for my computer and instead got a HDD that has W7 and all my programs on it. Can I transfer everything on my HDD to a SSD and if I do will the programs still work? Especially W7. Do I just have to change the boot priority to get it to boot from the SSD?

Maybe.

Soon, people will chime in here with "Sure, just clone everything over to the new drive! It always works 100%"
Bull.

OK.....A few things to consider.
How large is the current used space on the HDD?
How large is the SSD?
How 'old' is this install?
