Will Watch Dogs require 6+ Core CPU for Ultra Settings?

I'm building a new rig and I'm thinking of getting an i5 4760K. I'm wondering if I'm going to be wasting money if Watch Dogs (and future games) will require a 6+ Core CPU in order to achieve Ultra Settings on 1080p?

That RAM Brand is iffy. Stick to a reliable brand like corsair, gskill or patriot. Also you're missing a Operating system on this build and a cooling solution (if you're overcloking) and a case

This build out to hold its own with any game you toss at it. It will certainly play Watchdog smoothly.
Best luck.

Its not the CPU you need to worry about, its your graphics card. Games rely on how powerful your graphics card is more than any other of your components. In theory you could run the game with one core as long as your graphics card can handle it. However it isn't recommended. So six cores will do

That is so wrong its not even funny. Even if you had the best single core cpu, running a good gpu would bottle neck so badly. I think watch dogs uses 8 threads, as the recommended cpus are both 4 core, 8 threads.

I don't think any new games are going to use 6 cores in the near future except for Star Citizen which is being designed to work on a PC first and foremost and a console as an after thought. I love Chris Roberts.

Okay, the best way to tackle this is by figuring out what is your budget for this build. There are really many games out there that use don't use more that 4 cores at best (of the few I can think of is ARMA 3, Crysis 3, and upcoming Watchdog) and even then if you had the CPU you need a good GPU to achieve the highest possible ultra settings.

Looks good other than the memory. Most games only use 4 GB but now that the 8 GB consoles are out we may see them use more RAM. If you could up it to 8 that would be nice but if you budget can't afford it you may just want to wait until they do.
