When i attempt to sometimes which a tv show on my computer my screen goes black and my audio stays on for about 20 seconds afterwards then it starts repeating itself. I just replaced both my GPU and my motherboard. My GPU is a XFX R9 290, and my motherboard is a ASUS M5A99FX Pro R2.0. My Harddrive on startup and randomly while useing programs sky rockets to 100% use and lags the computer down quite a bit. but i don't think that is the cause of it. any advice would be helpful.

Sounds like a driver issue, remove all your old drivers from Control panel>uninstall programs and remove everything AMD, Also download a driver sweeper like gru3d and make sure all your drivers are definitely sweeped. Now reinstall the the drivers for your GPU from the website.
