I have to adjust the plug into my computer to get sound. I have an Edifier X100, and I don't know if I should buy a sound card or I should get a new line in jack wire. It's frustrating at times because you have to turn jack on the green thingy on the computer to get sound because I only get static and no sound. Sometimes only 1 of 2 speakers work. I have to accurately adjust it to get it to work.

It could be either one: the wire, or the jack on the sound card. The only way that I know to troubleshoot this is to replace one of them and see what happens. I'll assume that a new wire is cheaper than a new sound card, so I'd go with that route first.
