Should I update to the latest firmware on my SSD?

I have a Samsung 840 PRO 256GB as a secondary disk mostly used for games. I just started Samsung Magician and noticed that a firmware update was available.

Current firmware: DXM05B0Q
New: DXM06B0Q

This is the first time this pops up so I'm not sure if I should install it? Can I lose any data or something like that?

Also I have been told that Windows should be recognise if you are running an SSD and automaticaly change to the best settings for an SSD. Is this true?
Because in Samsung magician it says, under the tab "OS Optimization", that my os is currently optimized for use with an HDD.
And there are things like hibernation, superfetch that need to be disabled according to Samsung Magician.
Have you changed any settings for your SSD?

Solution
It would be best if you did. Updates sometimes help give a longer life to the ssd. Most likely better performance too. You will lose all of your data, though. And end up with a blank ssd.
