Hi,I want to increase ram to motherboard ABIT i875 and I don't know the right one. My pc works with XPpro and it's terrible slow.
Thank you

As I posted above, you can go with up to 4GB of 184 pin RAM, but I would strongly suggest that you start to consider a new computer. Every dog has it's day, and that day passes. Unfortunately, that day has come and gone for whatever computer that motherboard is in. Look at it like an opportunity to treat yourself. :)

According to this that was back in 2003 http://hexus.net/tech/reviews/mainboard/622-abit-ic7-max3/?page=2 Computers have a life shelf of 5 years, your on year 11. This is too 'old' to even support much less expect anything. Also may I point out, IF you try to find RAM, even if you bought it for say $79-99, for only $249 you can get a desktop or laptop i3 Core from Walmart that is a heck of alot 'faster' and most of all SUPPORTED (Windows XP Hasn't had support for consumers for a long time now).

My thoughts exactly, as I said earlier. The only logical choice is the replace the computer. And as said, a 250 machine new today would run circles around your old computer.

I'm just going through my old threads and checking on the ones that aren't marked "Solution Solved" to make sure that there is nothing left that is in question. If your problem is solved, please mark it solved so that others can benefit from the thread as well. If it is indeed still unsolved, let me know and we'll see about getting it solved for you. :)
