Is GTX 780 Compatible With Intel H81?

Hey i'm trying to find a good graphics card for my computer and I wanted to if the NVIDIA GeForce GTX 780 is compatible with an Intel H81 chipset mother board.

either way I found out that they are compatible although .1 performance will be lost because the intel h81 has PCI express 2.0 slot and the GTX 780 is has a PCI express 3.0

I was speaking more towards modern day GPU and motherboard, which will fit into your situation. AGP is very old, you can probably find them on system that was built 10+ years ago.

There is no performance difference when comparing PCI-E 3.0 vs PCI-E 2.0, modern GPUs are not capable of pushing out the capable bandwidth that PCI-E 3.0 x16 can support. In other words, no GPU on market is good enough to use PCI-E 3.0 to its full potential, and PCI-E 2.0 x16 will do the exact same thing, unless you're doing multi-GPU and multi-monitor when you actually need to push out ginormous amount of data to the screen at a fast rate.
