Hello,

Im not a usual member on toms hardware however i sometimes lurk. However as of now it is one of the handful of websites that seem to work after getting my new modem.

A few days ago i bought a Dlink DSL - 2730B, and for some reason i can open google, search things, open facebook etc, but i cant open: yahoo.com, lloyds bank website, imgur, just a random amount of websites.

Starting to get quite frustrated, my old modem just stoppd working so i got this one, and ive contacted my ISP and they told me to ring Dlink and i was on the phone to some person who didnt seem very knowledable for almost 2 hours and she couldnt figure it out.

I have 3 computers which all have the same problem, seriously at a loss what to do, please help!!

Thank you,

Jake

Also i have tried pinging yahoo.com and it seems to work? but still cant connect...

Your having DNS problems. Do you know how to go into your computer network settings and change DNS addresses? If so change the DNS address on one of them from DHCP to Manual and put in an address like 8.8.8.8. See if that fixes your problem on that PC. If it does then we can troubleshoot your DNS on your new router.
