I just built my new computer and one of the components is an Asus Xonar Essence STX sound card. It is installed in the PCI-e slot directly above my two 780 ti's.

I have connected a 4-pin molex connector to the card (the only installation step listed in the manual) and plugged into into the PCI-e slot, but when I turn on my computer I cannot see the card under "Sound" or "Device Manager."

I have tried removing and re-inserting the sound card, unplugging and plugging back in the connector, and simply trying to install the drivers, but when I try and install the drivers I get an error that the sound card is not found.

All help is appreciated! By the way, here are the total system specs:

Motherboard: Asus Sabertooth Z87 LGA 1150 Motherboard
CPU: Intel Core i7-4770K
CPU Cooler: Corsair H100i Liquid CPU Cooler
GPU: 2x EVGA GTX 780ti
RAM: Corsair Dominator Platinum 16GB (2x8GB) DDR3 1600 MHz
SSD: Samsung 840 Pro 256GB
PSU: XFX Pro 850 Modular
Case: Corsair Obsidian 750D

Solution
Your manual says you must disable on-board audio ( in the BIOS ) and un-install any other audio drivers first. Then install the Asus driver BEFORE you install the card or you will get errors during install.

I have already tried installing drivers from the website and some 3rd party drivers and both of them stop me in the middle of installation and claim I need to connect my sound card before continuing.
