The 7750 is around $100 and I don't mind spending that much as long as it's worth it. Also, how much of a difference does ddr5 make?

More about : worth upgrade 6670 1gb ddr3 card 7750 ddr5 card

There's a 45% increase in performance with that upgrade.

$100 for a 7750? you should be able to get a 7770 for that (or less), and that will be almost x2 the power of that 6670.

Leaving the settings the same, the people in your games will look more like people, and less like robots. A 7770 will make a very sizable difference.

Oops I did not mean to give you best answer for this. I mean to reply only. Anyways, I only have a 300 watt psu so I need a low profile GPU. That is why I am asking about the 7750

Psu's of the mid-sized variety are pretty cheap. It would be well worth the investment to upgrade your PSU to a 550w like XFX. That would open up a huge amount of options for a gpu that would seriously increase not only the games you play now, but ones you'll play tomorrow.

I know. I have a 500 watt corsair PSU sitting atop my closet but it's too big for my hp 2220t case so I'm just going to stick with the 300 PSU until i buy a new computer.

there are low profile 750tis out there... those use about as much power as that 6670 you have.

What the heck?
Both cards are DX11 and should render essentially the same image at the same settings.

A 7750 will perform better, but anything less than a 7770 or 250X is barely worth upgrading to

I just looked up the GEFORCE GTX 750 TI and read that it only needs 60 watts of power. Should I get this instead?

Clarification;

1. I was comparing op's current 6670 to a 7770, I know the 7770 is a dx11 card, but in terms of framerates the games will be more fluid than what. the op is used to currently on the 6670 which (i may be wrong, I'm tired hah) I thought was a dx 10 card.
2. Every 750ti I've seen has required a 6-pin connector. The 750's with single fan haven't, but some of the dual fans like MSI and gigabyte OC versions do aswell. This puts them up to 150w potential, not the reference 75w potential.

If you have a good PSU go with HD 7770. It'll provide a significantly better performance compared to your current GC. Otherwise the 7750 will be a good upgrade.. It's a DDR5 card while the current one is DDR3.. I think you'll notice a good performance boost.

There are ti versions that do not require a 6 pin connector but I'm getting the regular superclocked version which also doesn't need a 6 pin connector. http://www.amazon.com/EVGA-Superclocked-Dual-Link-Graph...

edit: ah ok, found it. Some single fan versions. Dual fans require 6-pin

You should save more money and buy a card that is worth the upgrade, like a R7 260x.

GTX 750 is worth the upgrade. Keep in mind that I have a 6670. So the improvement will be massive.
