Not necessarily you can either dual boot Windows and Ubuntu or you can install Ubuntu only on the HDD.

So that means I be using win for all the software which are not available in wine appDB. And other than that I could use ubuntu. Am I right, so far?

You would have to reboot to change between the 2 different operating systems. If you install Ubuntu after Windows (which you are doing in your case) Grub will handle this. It is a screen that loads before either operating system loads. By default after installing Ubuntu, Ubuntu will be you default operating system that the system loads. To choose a different OS you can simply press one of the directional keys (arrow keys) to stop it from loading the default OS (before the OS loads). You can also change which OS loads first by default through grub, but this is something you would have to research. There is also the possibility of letting Windows master boot record (MBR) handle the loading of operating systems. Either way you will need to research into the subject. Here are some topics to research so that you may become familiar with what you are trying to do.

Topics:
Dual boot with Windows and Ubuntu
Dual boot with Master Boot Record
Dual boot with Grub
Installing Adobe products on Ubuntu
What is Ubuntu Wine

Remember always in experimenting with new software to make backup copies of your personal files. Another common thing I'd like to point out is that having the proper amount of storage via hard drives (HDD) or solid state drives (SSD) is crucial to running a well maintained environment for dual booting or even single OS systems. Always leave at least 20GB (Gigabytes) of space on your storage solutions. Operating Systems and other system resources typically need this space to function proficiently. Of coarse all of this last bit of information can be argued to personal preference. Anyway I hope this helps and if you cannot figure something about that pertains to this subject just ask here.
