I just received one of these Asus X200CA compact beauties and needed to boot from USB to preserve an image of the factory install. This is what I did to do that, and thanks to others in this forum and the ASUS forums for helping me bring it all together:

Have laptop powered OFF, and connect your USB bootable device to a USB 2 port on right side of laptop
Power on system and immediately be pressing Escape to access Boot Menu, then Select BIOS Setup
Under "Boot" tab, disable "Fast Boot" and under "Security" tab, disable "Secure Boot Control", save settings and reboot
After screen goes black, be pressing Escape to access Boot Menu, Select BIOS Setup
Under "Boot" tab, set "Launch CSM" to "Enabled" (Compatibility Support Manager, another name for Legacy Boot)
Save settings and reboot
After screen goes black, be pressing Escape to access Boot Menu
Select USB device to boot from and press Enter

Although I used these settings with success, I'll likely return them to default before delivering system to user.

To reiterate what I said, above:

Hope your problem is solved already.

I had bought this product a few days back and i was struggling with the same secure boot and other bullshit. Some of the solutions are not even doable as I can't see them under BIOS. But luckily today I was able to install WIN 7 ULtimate from bootable usb as follows-

1) Put your usb bootable in the usb 2.0 (I did not try usb3.0)
2) Start your system and keep on pressing ESC until a popup show up
3) This popup would have options to boot from. Probably your usb is on 2nd row. Select it and hit enter. Voila....
4) Now it would show the screen where it says -"press any key to boot from usb", something like that and done.

I guess it might help a few as at this page a lot of misleading solutions are there.

1. Log in as administrator.
2. Run msconfig
3. Choose "Boot" option
4. Then click "Advance options ..."
5. Checklist "debug" and "Debug port"
6. Under Debug port: choose "USB"
7. Put your Flashdisk on the rightside of laptop (closest to you) and check where the flashdisk drive position (D: or E: ... or else) as you can see it on windows explorer
8. Type the drive of flashdisk in "USB target name:" then click OK, and OK again. The windows will restart automatically.
9. While pressing Esc repeatedly, you will face boot option.

Goodluck!
