So I recently bought an Amd Athlon II x4 760k and a Gigabyte GA-F2A88x-D3H motherboard, the system works great with no major issues. My one problem at the moment is that not cpu temperature monitoring program is showing the temps correctly. Core Temp is reporting 0 c at all times, Now I am aware that can have something to do with unlocked cores, but the thing is, I don't see any options in my bios to lock or unlock the cores, and I haven't oc'd in anyway. I've also tried Amd overdrive and thats reporting 70 c for idle temps which I know is insane, I have a cooler master hyper 212 plus with 2 high performance sp 120's on it. Ive tried using speed fan as well, but it seems to have the temps jumping all over the place. Really not sure what the problem is.

Solution
Go into the BIOS and see what it says the idle temps are - it's possible that it's 70℃, and the cooler isn't installed right.

HWMonitor is one option, along with Speedfan and a couple of others.

The bios is showing around 35 -36 c on idle, I'm pretty sure I installed to cooler correctly, its not the first time I've done it, I double checked it though. I've tried Hwmonitor with the same 0 c results, and Speedfan is doing the same thing.
