I've been looking at both of these motherboards and I'm not sure what to go with. The MSI board I can get in a bundle and save some money but I usually prefer Asus as a company. I've read some reviews on both boards and it seems like a lot more people are getting DOA boards or ones that die soon after installation on the Asus one. Is that something these boards are known for or is that not the boards fault. Let me know what you think.

Newegg.ca The MSI board comes in a combo with the CPU an RAM I'm getting so I could save a few bucks but its not a big deal to me either way. As long as I pick the right one.

Any reason you're getting an i7? For gaming an i5-4670K will perform pretty much the same.

I'll have a look.

EDIT: If you stick with the i7, I'd get this:
PCPartPicker part list / Price breakdown by merchant / Benchmarks

CPU: Intel Core i7-4770K 3.5GHz Quad-Core Processor ($346.98 @ Newegg Canada)
Motherboard: MSI Z87-G55 ATX LGA1150 Motherboard ($124.75 @ Vuugo)
Memory: A-Data XPG V1.0 8GB (2 x 4GB) DDR3-1600 Memory ($79.99 @ NCIX)
Total: $551.72
(Prices include shipping, taxes, and discounts when available.)

Otherwise swap the CPU.

Okay thanks :) I guess I forgot to mention I was trying to go with a red and black color scheme since the parts I've already purchased red and black. It wouldn't be a big deal to me if my case didn't have a huge window lol. But I'll consider those.

Then consider getting the MSI Z87-GD65, it's a great board, kind of an imitation of the ROG boards, it supports SLI and many other cool features.
