hi allm got bought h100i and almost instaled on case corsair 400r,msi z87-g45 corsair rm850, but i cant find 3 pin connector on motherboards for corsair h100 that is near to sata connector help pls. and sorry for badly english

Solution
Plug that 3 pin into the slot on your motherboard named CPU_OPT or CPU_FAN (If it's not printed on your motherboard refer to your motherboards manual) . CPU_OPT is the better choice as all it is for is reporting to the motherboard that there is a working CPU cooler installed - and it reports the pump RPM as CPU Cooler Fan RPM.

Get a SATA power extension so that you can make it reach. If you don't want to wait to get it up and running, you can run the unit without the 3-pin cable plugged in, all it does is provide pump speed readings, the SATA connector provides actual power. However, be aware that if you don't plug the 3-pin in and you don't have anything else plugged into the CPU_FAN header on your motherboard, you will get a cpu fan error when you boot the computer, which in this case can be safely ignored since you know the cooler is actually running but off another power connector (the SATA).

The 1394 connector is for the Firewire plug on the front of the case. It's not that big of a deal but your motherboard does not support it. I have the same case and I just tucked mine out of site behind the back panel as my motherboard also does not support Firewire.

For Windows I would recommend windows 7. Windows 8.x does not have many features that a person with moderate pc skills would find beneficial (read: automatic idiot proofing ;) ) and it's major "selling point" seems to be a desktop/interface that is like a tablet or touchscreen phone. Also, do to it's relatively new release (not to mention the fact that Win 7 is still more widely used) many drivers and programs are not optimized for it. One that specifically will matter to you is that the Corsair Link software for the H100i does not work properly (even with "tweaking" and workarounds) under Windows 8.x. Check the Corsair Forums for specifics about that issue, it's pretty brutal considering the price and the fact that neither company mentions anything at all about it in product descriptions or packaging.

I'd recommend getting RAM that has a CL9 Latency as opposed to the CL10 you have listed. You will notice a difference at stock settings and it's even more of a difference if you want to OC it in the future.

I'd say WD 1TB for the HDD. Just my opinion based on personal experience. 1TB is single platter and has less parts to go bad and Western Digital has always been reliable for me (the WD 1TB Black is what I use paired with Samsung EVO 120GB SSD)
