Hi everybody!

I live in China and we have a very old router and we've got problems with it. Because we watch our own TVs online, we it really doesn't work.

So there are some points to discuss about:

1: When I try to download something from my computer, I usually get +2 MBs per second, which makes it almost 20 Mbps.

here you can see my internet speed. But surely, it's always not that fast.

2: I really don't know if this problem is because of my old router, or it's really because i live in China. So please suggest whether i should keep using my old router, or change to a new one.

When i Play COD MW3 on my PS3, it often cannot sign in, or signs out saying you have been disconnected from PSN or when I play COD9 in my pc, i get very high pings which affects my gaming experience.

update: i have my eyes set on the following router:
Lynksys Smart Wifi N600

I mainly want my router for wired Online gaming and Online video streaming.

update 2: I actually like this one:
Linksys Smart Wifi EA4500

thanks

Solution
Asus RT-N66U or RT-AC66U/68U series using latest Merlin firmware, depending on budget.

Never hear a peep out of my son with his online gaming, while the wife and daughter stream HD video to two separate rooms on "2.4Ghz" while I stream HD to on "5Ghz", al from local Plex server, while my download pc is doing its job on a RT-AC66U.

They cost a little more, but worth it !

thanks for the suggestion, i'll have a look to it. not to forget that that the EA 4500 is Dual band, both 2.4 Ghz and 5 Ghz.

as i could see some reviews of critics and users with this router, i got that it would be the best pick for me!
i am going for it, but i really really hope it solves my problems. Becuase it would be useless otherwise!

thanks
