This is what I have put together on pcpartpicker. I want to know if the components would work together, and what you guys think of it. I plan on using it for gaming and a little video editing. For gaming I would like to play games like Battlefield 3/4, Far Cry 3, Crysis 3 and Minecraft etc... at reasonable frame rates on high at 1080p. My budget is around 500£ so it would be great if you helped to reduce the price for certain components. I already have a hard drive and an os, so no need to worry about that. Thanks for reading my first post.

Thanks for the help, do you think I should change the CPU or GPU? Also will anything get bottlenecked?

Also I'm not going to be overclocking. Forgot to add that :/  otherwise if I was going with AMD I'd go with the fx6300. Any thoughts?

I don't think you should change the cpu,you could go for the r9 270(x) to save money.

imo is this r9 270 capable of some overclocking to r9 270x values,if you don't want to try will the next be a nice option too,

that would look like,

Read some reviews to see the performance difference between the r9 270(x) and the gtx 760.

Thank you very much. After doing some research, i see that the r9 270x isn't too far behind the gtx 760. I guess that I will go with that then. Just one more question, do you recommend fully modular psu or is what you have put alright (the semi modular)? This will be my first pc build and I want the cable management to be in good order. Is it possible with the semi or should i go with full and cut down again somewhere else?

Semi modulair will be alright, the cables already attached are ones you most likely need anyway.
