I am trying to build a computer to max out most games at 1920*1080 on ultra. Here are my part selections so far:

CPU= intel core i5 4570
RAM= 2*4gb 1600mhz
GPU= amd r9 280x 3gb
motherboard= GIGABYTE H87-HD3 Intel H87 Chipset

Any help would be greatly appreciated and all suggested changes welcome. Thankyou very much

nice rig.
well you can upgrade it as much as you like and many people will say stuff like get a cpu cooler or get some ram but what you realy need (if you have the budget) is a better processor but if you don't buy it the rig is still pretty good.

Would you care to elaborate for someone seeking knowledge?
The processors appear similar in all their specs aside from the clock speed.
Same L1, L2 and L3 cache, same TDP, same Lithography, same data width and same integrated graphics.

Is there a noticeable difference in performance that you have experienced between the two?

Thanks for your feedback.

you are right the specs are the same BUT the performance is different.
the higher the model number the higher the performance,this is because Intel tests the processors for reliability,life etc and the higher the number the better the stuff.
Why else do you think there will be a price difference between processors with the same specs,it can't be because of the core clock.

i like it a-lot my self the only real things i think i need to consider at the heat produced by the cpu and gpu. i would need to do more research into that. thank you everyone for your suggestions.

Microcenter prices the 4570 at a solid price if he is near one, otherwise it runs just shy of $200 and about $20 away from the 4670, which should theoretically be the better jump for performance. Which Microcenter also offer a better offer on the overclockable version of the 4670k for a $30 difference to the 4570.

My suggestion was merely that it was a possibility to alter budget and put the savings elsewhere, or given so much stock on the difference in processors, maybe push more funds into the processor for a better option.
