Hello! I am wondering if anyone can help me with cs:go. My specs are
Intel Q8300 @ 2.5Ghz
4GB DDR2 RAM
Zotac GTX 460 OC @ ~ 20%+

I know my specs aren't the best but i usually can run most games on medium to high settings. CS:GO is no exception, but when playing csgo my issues is inconsistancy. My frames will sit around 100-120 and drop randomly to about 50 then go back up and it constantly does this. It's frustrating trying to play such a precise game at such insconsistent frames. I've tried changing all the graphics settings and nothing changes it i always get the random drops. Any help would be great.

Thanks :)

If you plan to play CSGO competitively, I would *HIGHLY* recommend you stay away from v-sync. It adds so much input lag, and no pro uses it.

A possible fix, type in console fps_max 60 . Turn off v-sync, anti-aliasing and motion blur and max out everything else. This will force the GPU to do more, your CPU may not be good enough for CSGO..

temps are good! no higher than 60c at any time.

So, try to download latest drivers for your graphics card and make clean install of the driver

This also happens when you play offline? Do you already have VSYNC turned on?
Try opening 3D settings on Nvidia Control Panel, select the game and force VSYNC. Also, I don't think it is a smart move to go over 60FPS, I mean I rather have a fully consistent match than go jumping between such high FPS which I won't even notice.
