Can i emulate windows 98/95

hi i just found out the name of the first game i ever played on pc and it ran on windows 98 i think it may have been windows 95 but pretty sure 98. the game is called red ace squadron its a old airplane game and now i have a pc running windows 8 64-bit and it will not work. it just does this wired black screen and there is the cursor form the origianl game but its just that and black. ive tryd alought but no work.

You have two choices as far as I know,
1, install windows 95/98 in a virtual machine (virtual box for exmaple), and see if it works that way.
2, Try dosbox and dosbox turbo which has dos and some windows support. I think you can install windows 95 directly into dosbox.

My understanding is that Red Ace Squadron is fully compatible with Windows XP. You did install the game to your new computer using the game's installer right? Once installed, right-click the game's .exe file and go to 'properties' and then the "compatibility" tab. Try changing to Windows XP compatibility mode first, if that doesn't work then play around with those compatibility options until the game hopefully works. Hope that helps.
