Good GPU for 1024x768 resolution gaming for newest games on ultra settings?

What are some good GPUs for 1024x768 resolution gaming? I want to play newest games like Crysis 3, Metro: Last Light, Watch Dogs, Battlefield 4, The Witcher 3, etc on ultra settings. Would something like 750 Ti would be sufficient or do I need more powerful card? Any suggestions please? Acceptable frame rate for me is 30 fps and above, higher of course better and preferable but I don't want to go below 30 fps. Would like a card that is not too powerful and overkill for my resolution. I have 60 Ghz monitor.

At that resolution I would say a 750Ti would be sufficient.

a 750ti won't be future proof and you will have to buy another card soon (2 yrs)
go with a good card that will last you longer (4-5yrs at that resolution)

get either one of these. around 200$ but will last double the time.

How much FPS you think I would get on 750 Ti and 660?

You are going to need something like a 760. Lowering the resolution doesn't change your fps that much. so base your performance off of 1080p. the 750 ti and 660 are mid to lower end cards. You are wanting got play high end games, so they wont cut it.

There is quite a big price difference in my country between 750 ti/660 and 760. More than 80$. I don't know, I might buy it. But is performance increase is really worth it for the bonus 80$ bucks?

How about I wait till GTX 860 is released and then buy 760? Google tells me that new GTX 860 will be released in April or May or something. I assume prices will drop when that happens, right? By how much do you think it would drop for 760?

Not a huge difference in performance to warrant the extra cost. And at 1024x768 it'll be just fine.

Thanks for the link. I compared some cards and I found out that r9 270x is very close to gtx 760. Gtx 760 beats it in many games in fps but any increase above 40 fps I don't think I will notice, will I? I don't know, I play League of Legends now and I don't seem to notice when frames are 50 and when it drops to 30. I just seem to notice when it drops below 30 only. But that might be just League cos I don't play many games now with integrated GPU. Also I have 60gz monitor so I guess its impossible to notice anything above 60fps either, huh?

Also 270x seems to even beat gtx 760 in some games, if we can trust that website. Plus it's seems to be better in rendering at Sony Vegas, what I am in fact doing from time to time. Is that an AMD thing that it specifically designed for rendering or something? Plus 270x is 80$ cheaper than gtx 760 too! Pretty much just as much as 660 or 650 ti boost here in my country. I'm thinking of getting r9 270x instead. What do you guys think?

you can't see more than 60fps on a 60hz monitor.
go with nvidia,their cards are better-
1.produce less heat
2.perform better
3.driver updates are better

But then I would need to go for something like gtx 660 cos 760 is too expensive, I doubt I will be able to afford it. While r9 270x is just as expensive as 660 and almost as powerful as 760 and renders videos faster, according to that link above. =/

It looks to me that 270x is way better and performs better than 660 even tho 660 is nvidia, no? Would I be screwed up if in some games due to bad drivers if I would buy it instead?
