After a 30 minute test, my Intel i5-3570 reached a maximum of 75 degrees on a stock cooler and stock paste. Could my case be a factor contributing to why it gets that got? Its just the case of a prebuilt pc and i was looking at getting the Cooler Master N200 with two case fans. Would i see a temperature drop?
hmmm, yes I would say that's high. But which test? Prime or running the game? If its prime, then those numbers are to be expected. in general gameplay no.
If you have a stock cooler and your CPU is at stock, then the temps will be just about manageable. If you are overclocking your CPU you should get a better cooler than stock. Is your II5 the 3570 or the 'k' version? The case, and fans can have an impact.
Most certainly you would see a temp drop with a decent cooler on the CPU, just make sure you get a good thermal paste if your replacing the cooler, and apply the paste as per instructions to get a good seating. Max load temps would drop by 5-10 degrees!
