Hello, I recently looted a couple old ThermalTake fans from my old desktop from undergrad.
The fans look like this http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E168... but are white transparent and have blue LEDs and power up using a molex plug.

I am using a Rosewill R5 which has one pre-installed exhaust fans in the back and two pre-installed intake fans in the front. I have just installed on of the two TT-8025's to parallel the stock CPU cooler fan (so it sucks the exhaust from the CPU fan and blows it out through the grating on the case wall).

I was wondering, where should I put the second fan. In case it is relevant, the computer is under my desk and is oriented that the CPU faces my knees and the long aspect of the case is parallel to the desk.

I'd personally put it on the bottom facing up to help direct air from the front fans up to the motherboard and gpu. This will give you air flow diagonally from the bottom right to the top left, which should hopefully blow over all of the components.

Edit: If you want to see the LEDs, you could move the two LED fans to the front and then put the two front fans where the LED ones were.

I have removed the one TT fan I put in. I am thinking about reversing it and having it blow air onto the GPU.

As long as all the fans point in generally the same direction, e.g. front to back, you can't go wrong. It would be silly to do something like have an intake and exhaust on the front panel, but other than that you should be fine. I would recommend 3 in and 2 out though, because otherwise the case will suck air in through the cracks, and that might create a dust problem. If you have three in, then air will only be coming in through the dust filters.
