Hi, since I got my monitor ( Asus VG248qe) it has been doing this weird thing, where while starting the screen is completely black until it reaches the windows loading screen. I cannot see the bios menu/motherboard maker which would usually show on startup, my old monitor could see it and I could enter the bios. With this monitor, it says there is no signal even if I set it to detect from displayport(the one I am using) I have also tried DVI, but it makes no difference. My old monitor could load up the bios fine, and could see everything before the windows loadup. Also, when I switch from games(alt tabbing) the monitor will stay black for around 4 seconds, this also did not happen on my old monitor. I have a gtx 670, i5-3570k with an asus VG248qe(144hz capable) monitor. Is this a defect with my monitor, or is there anything I can do to fix it? Thanks in advance.

Solution
Seems like a defect with your LCD. Did you install the drivers for the LCD, if not go to (http://support.asus.com/download.aspx?SLanguage=en&m=VG248QE&os=8) select your OS and install the drivers with your new LCD plugged in.
