Monitor. A little Problem

I am going to order to buy a 27 inch monitor or 24 inch monitor but cant decide what to get and which one will be the best for my eyes.
I sit about 60 cm away from my monitor and if I purchase 27 inch I will be sitting with the same 60 cm distance.
So, is 60 cm distance good and okay for 27 inch monitor and for my eyes ?
How many distance is necessary to be kept when viewing/gaming on a 27 inch monitor ?

When I play starcraft on a 27" monitor, I have to sit about 70cm away to see the whole thing comfortably. I think that at 60cm, you'd probably be fine too. You could probably just move your chair back a couple more centimetres too and still reach the keyboard if you're a bit too close.

Edit: I know you didn't ask, and you may have already picked one out, but the ASUS PB278Q is a fantastic 1440p 27 inch monitor if you can afford it.
