What are some good GPUs for 1024x768 resolution gaming? I want to play newest games like Crysis 3, Metro: Last Light, Watch Dogs, Battlefield 4, The Witcher 3, etc on ultra settings. Would something like 750 Ti would be sufficient or do I need more powerful card? Any suggestions please? Acceptable frame rate for me is 30 fps and above, higher of course better and preferable but I don't want to go below 30 fps. Would like a card that is not too powerful and overkill for my resolution. I have 60 Ghz monitor.

P.S. Sorry for double post, I posted this somewhere else but think this section is better for this question.

HD 7770 or GTX 650 would be enough to run all the games at ultra settings at that resolution. If you can go higher then get GTX 650ti boost or HD 7850 because you won't have to think much if you will be buying a new monitor with higher resolution in future. Also make sure to get proper adapters.

So you are saying that 750 Ti is already an overkill? Cos I thought GTX 650ti is less powerful that 750 ti, or am I wrong?

Oh, I see. And I assume gtx 660 is even more powerful than 650 ti boost, right? I mean it's higher number lol. And they are pretty much the same price here.

How about HD 7850, how fast comparing to two above is it? All of these cards cost the same here so which one should I get for max performance?

The 7850 is slightly faster but you're gonna have a hard time finding one in stock. If you can then go for it but if not then the 660 is the way to go.

There seems to be plenty new ones of 7850 online in my country. And I stumbled on a 7870 cards too which are 8$ more expensive. But are they better than 7850, I assume cos again bigger number, if that's how stuff works? Would it be worth picking up 7870 instead?

If you plan on playing at better resolutions in the future then it'd be best to get the best Gpu you can afford. But you have to make sure you have enough amperage on your 12v rail first. The 7870 does have better performance but your increasing price as well.
