So im planning on making a gaming PC for my self with the following components:
CPU: AMD FX-8350
Mobo: GIGABYTE GA-990FXA-UD3
GPU: GIGABYTE GV-N770WF3-4GD
RAM: G.SKILL Ripjaws X Series 8GB (2 x 4GB)
HDD: WD BLACK SERIES WD2003FZEX (2TB)
PSU: CORSAIR CSM Series CS750M 750W

So my Question is will the 750W PSU be enough to run the 770 GPU as well as all the other componets? I have asked many people and have gotten both yes an no answers, so how do i know how much power i will need?

More about : 750w

That is an overkill even if you overclock, but if you want to SLI at the future its ok.

you will never ever ever ever use more that 500w on that rig.
so you got 250w lying around.
it is MORE THAN ENOUGH.

So how does the power get split up between components, and how can i estimate power consumption for future builds?

Noah Hendry the simplest way to estimate power consumption is-
1.go to www.pcpartpicker.com
2.click "get started"
3.select the parts that you have.
4.on the top right corner it will give you "estimated wattage"

but be aware it is not precise and you could use more or less than that,i reccomend getting at least 50w more.
