It has the same size and resolution as your old monitor, the only difference is a 2ms response as opposed to 5, and the ASUS is LED backlit. I don't think you would see much of an improvement at all, you should just save your money and either get a 1440p monitor later, or just stick with your old monitor and spend the money on something else.
