Hi All,

I am looking at a new build, not for gaming, for a lot of Java streaming and Excel work (stock market trading). However, I do want to make it somewhat future-proof, so am looking at the following. As this is the very first time I've gone the self-build route, and as much as I've read about this, my main question is whether the parts actually fit each other!

AMD FX-6350 Black Edition CPU (AM3+, Hex Core, 3.90GHz)

Asus R9270X-DC2T-2GD5 1120Mhz 2048MB GDDR 5 PCI Express Graphics Card

Asus M5A99X Evo R2.0 Motherboard (AMD 990X/SB950, 4x DDR3, S-ATA 600, ATX, PCI-Express 2.0, USB 3.0

Corsair CX750 Builder Series CX 750W ATX/EPS 80 PLUS Bronze PSU

G-Skill 8GB Ripjaws (2x4GB) DDR3

Samsung 840 EVO 250GB 2.5 inch Basic SATA Solid State Drive

Asus DVD-RW Drive (DRW-24F1ST, S-ATA, DVDR: 24x, CD-R: 48x, E-Green, Disc Encryption II)

Win7 64-bit

Aerocool Mechatron Gaming Case

I also have a Matrox G200 graphics card for running up to 4 VGA-connected multiple monitors, but that's a small issue.

On Amazon UK, all the parts cost around £650, including shipping to Finland.

TIA for any replies.

So let me get this clear, are you building this yourself or getting it pre built? Because Aerocool is kind of cheap quality case company. And yeah they are compatible, both AMD GPU and CPU work good together.

Building myself. The reviews I've read about the Aerocool case have been good enough for me, and likewise in fact for all the components I listed. As I said, all in for sub £650, which sounds very good given the specs.

Even if you aren't going to be playing games, that would be a very solid build for your needs. Maybe in the future get another 8 gbs of ram.

16GB of RAM won't be needed for a long time.

Thanks for the replies. I've decided to dumb things down a little, as, like I said, I'm not a gamer, and when I looked at shipping costs, although places like www.jimms.fi is pricey for some components, when you include Amazon UK or Germany shipping costs, and the local service, it worked out so much better, convenience, peace-of-mind wise, and price-wise, a few bobs here and there, rather than parts possibly having to be returned to Germany with non-working items, the hassle involved.

Aerocool Mechatron case (came from Amazon Germany)
Asus M5A99X Evo R2.0 Motherboard (same Amzn. de seller, [well] packaged together)
AMD FX-4350 Black Edition CPU
Cooler Master Hyper TX3 Evo tower CPU cooler
Gigabyte R9 270 2GB Overclocked graphics card (got it for a steal in Finland at €139, £114)
Corsair CX600M Builder Series PSU
G. Skill 8GB RipjawsX (2x4GB) 1866Mhz CL8
Samsung 840 EVO 120GB SSD
Western Digital Caviar Blue 500GB HDD
Asus 24X Optical Drive
Win7-Ultimate 64 Bit
Corsair SP120 Quiet case fans x 2

This really future-proofs me for about 10 years, at least, live java streaming is unlikely to change that much, and other than some YouTube, music or Excel, that's what this has been all about. All comes to around £640, plus the beers and pizza I pay for a friend to put it all together. Job done. Cheers.
If I was back in the UK, sure, this could have been done a lot cheaper, perhaps closer to £500-550 with free Amazon UK, but I ain't, the costs of living in Scandinavia, so it is what it is.

So now it really goes beyond my realm. I need more than 3 monitors for my job, so given the graphics card I already have, the Gigabyte R9 270 2GB Overclocked (950 MHz core clock), http://www.amazon.co.uk/Gigabyte-Battlefield-Edition-Graphics-PCI-E/dp/B00GZ1HU5Q/ref=sr_1_2?s=computers&ie=UTF8&qid=1403634785&sr=1-2&keywords=gigabyte+r9+270
could I Crossfire it with a puchase of the same R9 270, but this time the Asus, e.g. this one http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B00GI2XJM0/ref=ox_sc_act_title_1?ie=UTF8&psc=1&smid=A3P5ROKL5A1OLE (which is 975MHz).

I take it this would allow me 6 monitors as per above, not a gamer, but need live Java feeds from various global bourses).
