GPU Booting problem *Time sensitive*

Just this afternoon I received an after market CPU fan off of Newegg (Coolmaster Hyper 212) and I went to install it. After adding the fan to my cpu, a difficult process as many cables were in the way, I went to boot up my system. I received a message that was the usual "Windows has failed to boot-up, would you like to run startup repair", and i clicked "yes".

After about 10 minutes my systems shuts itself down and begins to restart. This time i get the beeping code that indicated a crash or system error (1 beep followed by about 4-5 in rapid succession). I went to restart my computer to run start-up repair for the second time and when I hit the power button, all the LED light and the fan came on (newly installed cpu fan and gpu fan included), but that was it, it sat and I could hear the CD player restarting and the fans increasing and decreasing in speed (like it usually does when booting up) but no beep codes or anything appeared on the monitor.

sorry for the length I figured more detail is better than less in this case

PC Specs

Phenom II x4 3.2Mhz Black edition
XFX 677X ZNFC Radeon HD 6770 Graphics card
ASUS M4A88T-V EVO USB3 Motherboard
Kingston DDR3 4gb RAM + Adata 2x2gb DDR3 RAM
Thermaltake A60 mid-tower Case
Seagate Barracuda 1tb Hard Drive
OCZ 600 Watt Mod Xstream-Pro Power Supply

OS: Windows 7 professional

As said before this is time sensitive because of online school work so any help you can offer would be greatly appreciated

*After experimenting a bit I found i could boot up my system after removing the video card from it, but when i re-attach the card i get the same repeating sounds of it starting up without any beep codes. Fan still runs on the GPU so i know it is not fully fried should that be the problem and not my motherboard

*Just restating, Boots up fine when running off of CPU onboard graphics, will not boot up or give me beep codes when the GPU is hooked up, will be taking my GPU to a friends house for testing on his computer this afternoon.

By the way here is a link to my similar post on PC Part Picker

*Yes i have tried reseting my CMOD on my motherboard, no change

Solution
The graphics card is small and the power supply you have should be enough to power everything. I think your graphics card might have died on you. Is it still under warranty?

Do you know if there would be a way to test whether the problem lies in the GPU or the motherboard without plugging in a different card or trying the card on a different motherboard? I dont have a second system to try this on and I dont want to purchase a new card and find out the problem was with the motherboard.

Not really, you could probably take the computer to a local computer shop and have them test another graphics card in it.

Before you do any of that, make sure no screws fell behind the motherboard and make sure none of the molex connectors are touching the metal parts of the case.

Sorry, this is coming much later than when posted. Got a friend to put his card into my case back when the problem was happening and things were working. Just figured this could close things up if anyone else was having similar problems.

Thank you for your input zeph!
