http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/document?cc=us&dlc=en&docname=c01679486&lc=en&jumpid=reg_r1002_usen_c-001_title_r0004

Do you need to buy OS: Yes, I'm thinking about going with an OEM copy of Windows 7.

Preferred Website(s) for Parts: newegg.ca, amazon.ca, NCIX.com(Though I'd like most, if not all, of my items to come from one place.)

Location: Ottawa, Ontario, Canada

Parts Preferences: No preference.

Overclocking: No.

SLI or Crossfire: No.

Your Monitor Resolution: 1920x1080 - 60hz, for some games I play at 800x600.

Additional Comments: I'm aiming to build a PC that can handle smooth game play on games like Crysis, Titanfall and Call of Duty Ghosts, on at least medium settings, I also plan to use this PC for watching videos, listening to music, and doing school work. I don't care much for "bling" and the PC doesn't have to be the quietest thing, but it would help if it's not too loud, because I don't want to bother my family and neighbors. This will be the very first computer I've ever put together and I'm doing it with only the help of the internet, as I've no one else that I can go to without paying money, which I can't really afford. I'm hoping that the experienced members of this community can help me pick the best parts for my money and give me some advice, for building a computer for the first time. I don't come from a very wealthy family, so I hope that the community can help me find affordable quality parts that will work well together, as I will not be able to come up with this budget and give this another shot, for at least six months, if something goes wrong. I would greatly appreciate the help of experienced PC builders, that are a part of this community. I'm sorry if my english and grammar could use some work, but I've written things here as clearly as I can, so I hope I've said things clear enough to paint a clear picture of what I'm looking for.

Reason for new PC: My old one broke after six years of everyday use.

Here are the parts I've already selected, I'm willing to swap things out for better parts that fit my budget, if that's what you suggest.

*Update*

Thank you SR-71 for your suggestion on a good quality power supply.

My build on PCParPicker. - http://ca.pcpartpicker.com/user/Superboywonder/saved/498p

It might help to know that I don't ever plan on overclocking, or running crossfire/SLI, and, in addition to the monitor that I've already mentioned that I have, I also have an old dell keyboard model: SK-8115 and a Razer DeathAdder 3.5G 3500 dpi mouse. Also, I do plan on adding an SSD in the future and I may also upgrade my PC in the future when I have to, in order to keep up with gaming.

Thanks to those that have taken the time to read my post and help me with my first time, selecting parts to build my own personal computer.

Any additional advice, for a successful experience putting together my first new custom computer, would greatly be appreciated.

If there's something I'm missing, or something else that you need to know, please let me know. Thank you.

For that kind of money you can get the much more powerful gtx 770 in there, it is $20 over but that extra $20 can either be subtracted for a slightly cheapr PSU that has less expansion and breathing room or you can just save up for the extra 20 bucks to have the best of both worlds with the more powerful graphics.

If on pcpartpicker I get the message, "Asus M5A97 R2.0 ATX AM3+ Motherboard has an onboard USB 3.0 header, but the NZXT Source 210 Window ATX Mid Tower Case does not have front panel USB 3.0 ports," does that mean that the two won't work with each other?

I actually could include a better GPU...I've looked around and I'm able to put together a build that fits my budget, problem is the boost 2.0 is a problem for some of the older games I happen to play the most...if only I could find a GPU with good performance, for under $300 Canadian, with out GPU boost. Until I can find one, I'll stick to the R9 270 build. With SR-71's suggestion for a PSU, my build is complete. Thank you for all your help.
