I made my build on pcpartpicker and it came with this "Some Intel X79 chipset motherboards may need a BIOS update prior to using Ivy Bridge-E CPUs." What do i do to get the BIOS updated can i use a flash drive or do i have to send it to msi to update the BIOS. http://pcpartpicker.com/p/3cPvM there is my build.

BIOS updates can be obtained from the motherboard maker's website and should include instructions.
Don't attempt to update BIOS unless you're sure it's really necessary, so check the update description.

Like Phillip said, the motherboard manufacturer's website usually has the BIOS update on it. I have a Gigabyte GA-X79-UP4 and out of the box it came with the correct BIOS (F4) to run Ivy-E CPU's. Just make sure to go to the manufacturer's website to check first if Ivy-E support has been supplied on the board that you are looking into.
