I have two gtx 760's that are configured in sli and I can't even play minecraft without lag spikes... Does anyone know what my problem might be? Cause I can play any other game with no problem yet minecraft...a very simple game that ran better before I had graphics cards...now isn't working.

Help please!!!

can you monitor use of the second/slave card. from what i have read minecraft does not support sli. so try disabling sli and you should see a boost in performance since it wont be trying to re-route imaging. minecraft is cpu intensive anyway you will still be able to max it out on that gpu. do you have a good cpu?

Welcome to Minecraft, where you get better performance with half as much graphics horsepower! :)
But seriously, disable SLI when you play it, Minecraft is "compatible" with SLI, but it doesn't work very well at all.

I think the problems are worse with dual than quad. Plus that's irrelevant because we have all been talking about dual 760s. Although it is hilarious :p

Oh sorry, my bad. But why is minecraft having problems with the 2 way sli and not quad?

I have an i5-3330. It's a great cpu! I could almost play better with just that than with my two cards. Like its playable but i'll just get really random and heavy lag spikes

make sure to check to see if your java is up to date and 64bit as well. you can edit your java to force sli but the performance scaling isnt as good as other games and since we are talking about a 760 and not a 460 then all you need is one card anyway. minecraft is a cpu bound game and most lower end cards can max it. if you only have a pentium or a celery or a dual core athlon/sempron this may be your problem as well
