Can You Recommend A Good Monitor?

Hello,

I am looking for a 23" or 24" monitor for my PC to use inside $250. I need it to have HDMI and speakers. The thing I am really looking for is the picture quality. I want the kind of picture where you look at it and say "WOW!". I hope I will be able to say "Wow!" for less than $250. Other than that, I don't care about the features or anything. I have a regular ASUS monitor now that is okay, but I am really looking for a little more in the name of picture quality.

Thanks.

i would recommend asus monitors, between me and my flatmates we have an asus, acer, samsung, philips and hp monitors, all 24" and roughly in the £150 price area or slightly below.. by FAR the asus has better colours and overall looks amazing compared to all of the others, its the asus VS247, brilliant monitor, there are better IPS etc monitors but they are much more expensive so just get something in your budget.

If you have a 1080p monitor that isn't broken, that is the best you are going to get for that price. The monitors with super high quality and color bit depth are designed for professional photographers or videographers. And they are pricey.

ASUS PB238Q. I bought one, would buy it again. IPS screen, excellent image quality for the money, supports all of the usual video formats and has built-in speakers. I grabbed one on sale at Amazon for a cool $205 last year.

That's just ASUS in general. They get better panels. As long as this guys has an IPS panel already, he won't find professional quality for that price. And another thing, he won't find professional quality with attached speakers.
