I've got a gigantic Panasonic CT-36SL14 36 inch CRT TV that I was wanting to hook up to my PC. My PC has a Radeon HD 4350 which does support TV out. I bought some VGA > S-video adapters, which has female s-video plug as well as the composite yellow RCA plug. I've tried plugging both in but all I get at best is a very distorted image. As far as I know, the TV is supposed to be 480i but even if I set 640x480 with 29 or 30khz refresh rate, it's still distorted. I've tried plugging the adapter in directly, and through a DVI>VGA adapter as well. This just isn't my area of expertise, I'm a server and cryptocurrency guy! Anyone have any tips or advice? Thanks!

First let me say that I am not an expert, but I have tried this.
I have never had luck with VGA adapter cables.
I have, however, used video cards with S-Video Out female jacks on them, and it worked flawlessly, without any tweaking - the most recent time was today. I just plug the S-Video cable from the video card to the TV, and boot the PC.
I believe the video card I use is the NVIDIA GE FORCE 3
