my 6 year old pc is crashing like hell! so I was wondering
buy a gaming pc which i'll build myself (complete noob) or save myself
the hassle and get a next gen console? Also don't be a fanboy I just want
an honest answer please thanks.

Well personally I would suggest building a PC because #1. You can say that you've built one, #2. You can always replace the parts, #3. With that money you'll probably get a longer-lasting system that can play more, various types of games. Of course, if you're looking for a system that you and your friends can just hang out on the couch and play on, I would suggest a console (PS4 in my opinion.)
