I highly need help. Thank you
Hello everyone. I recently had a power surge at my house and ended up with a damaged 10 year old pc tower power supply. I just bought a replacement , followed instructions on how to replace everything. Turn the pc on, it showed signs of power and that there was a circuit for 3 sec, then nothing. I tried disconnecting everything and putting every back together, still nothing! Any ideas?!

Also what is the Round battery in the motherboard for?! Does that need to be replaced?! (Looks like a big watch round flat battery)

The watch battery looking thing is the CMOS. Take it out for a few secs, put it back in. This clears it and also clears bios back to default. Helps in certain situations, possibly here as well.

What power supply is it exactly? Make/model ?
