Xfinity Internet Completely Sucks?

I have been using xfinity for awhile now, and recently in the past few months it has just been SO slow. I know that it is not my computer, because when I go to a friends house with my laptop and try using their internet connection, it's perfectly fine.

What I really want to ask is, how do I get my connection to not be terrible? Do I need to change service providers?

try with just the modem and your laptop if the speed is slow. power the modem off and see if on a clean power up it speeds up. few things may be at issue. one the dns server your using may be to far or over loaded. contact comact see if there another one near you to see if there a hardware issue with the isp. try open dns or google too. if your modem is a few years old it may be the issues. a lot of the newer cable modem now do channel bonding. log into the modem see the cable modem signal and strength level. do high or two low power or signal can cause issues. check your cable wires to the home see if anything cut or chewed.
