First Build: Mobo & GPU Compatibility?

Is the motherboard compatible with the GPU? The motherboard only provides crossfire support and the gpu only provides sli support, but I do not intend to have more than one GPU. Is it correct that these will work together with only the one gpu without adding more later?

Please let me know if you have any other comments or tips, too.
