Hi there , I have one 50inch tv connected via HDMI port to my ATI graphic card , I try to connect another 24inch monitor to the graphic card via vga cable but it lower down my screen resolution and it seem that the screen become too big for 24 inch monitor even when adjusted the monitor the manually. How can I solve this ??

Solution
See what you are trying to do is trying to run a resolution which is simply too big for your 24 inch monitor. Definitely 50 inch tv will support more resolutions while 24 inch monitor will support less resolutions , so the graphic card uses the resolution which is supported by both the tv and the monitor.

2.toshiba tv
3.acer 24 inch monitor
4.1920x1200
5.default should be 1920x1200 but it change to 1620x1000 when both plugged in
6.i put it auto all the time

I'm sorry Kevin , as the tv and monitor is currently not here , I only know that the vga card is ATI 5000hd series
is it possible to solve this by knowing such information ?

You said it supports 1920x1200 but it is changed to 1620x1000. Why do think it does that, because your graphic card uses the resolution which is supported by both. This is the basic rule of Dual Screen or eyefinity setup. 2, 3 monitors should support a common resolution so that when they are attached the resolution can be used. If the most highest resolution is used of all monitors at one monitor the screen would be stretched and in the other monitor it might be to small.

Hi there I see your point , it seems that my monitor can't support 1920x1200 ? But how come it can works with 1920x1200 when it is connected via HDMI itself without tv ?
In this case , will HDMI splitter help ?

The VGA cable is a analog wire when i connect my pc with LED tv with VGA it seems like the picture is stretched and a little bright but if you use HDMI cable which is a digital signal cable of course the picture would be fine and good cause it is a digital signal, it why it was created so that VGA cables had a problem when doing dual screen and using a large sized TV's and monitors.

It happens cause when you connect the two monitors the scaling might not be happening properly, the screen might be going outside the monitor cause of size(24 inch and 54 inch) so that's why laptop or pc when connected with both use a resolution and the scaling at which both will give the best results. You could try HDMI splitter it would help. Or again it might the VGA cable that be doing it.

Hi Kevin,
1. I tried to avoid using vga and change to DVI(connected to monitor) and HDMI(connected to tv)
2. I am not sure what is the exact model , I only know it is a 50 inch toshiba tv (my customer's one)
3. I only know it is a 22 inch acer
4,5. Too bad , both of it is at the customer house as I still can't figure out the solution.
