I just updated to windows 7. I put all my apps on another disk, meaning i put their "program files" into the other disk, thinking that i could just move them back over. they're still there, and i'm able to run them, but only from that drive. they dont show up in my programs list and certain features (like plugins) dont work. i thought .exe files were in there but i guess not. do i have to reinstall each one or can i find the .exe files somewhere?

More about : executable files

You need to re-install them.

While the executable files may be there, all the shortcuts and other links are elsewhere.

The .exe files will still be there - that's what you copied.

It's all the other stuff that you need. Stuff like shortcuts, registry entries etc.

You'll need to re-download the installer files.
