computer sometimes freezes

hey guys i recently got a beast computer and sometimes when going through my files my computers freezes for like 5 sec and my computer sounds like the fans are getting louder then it works again whats the problem if there is one?

It sounds like your HDD is just waking up after going into hibernation from not being used to save power.

How many HDD's do you have in your computer? If you have more than one, check if it only happens on the HDD that doesn't have the Operating System on it. Try and listen to whether its the fans that increase in speed or the hard drive that has started to spin faster from 'waking-up'.

Is it brand new? If not try

1) right clicking the drive C and choose properties
2) go to tools tab and under error checking click check or schedule disk check.
3) then pop up shows up then check recover bad sectors something like that.
4) then restart. and it will take long but it's worth the wait.
