Deep format is harder but still possible. As long as the drive works and you didn't write anything on it after format you should be able to recover it

Can I ask, what do you mean under "deep format", is it a low-level format? If so you don't have any chances to recover the data, because the low-level formatting process sets all the bits in the card area to logic 0 - that means all the data is destroyed physically. Unlike to it, the ordinary format just rewrites the files allocation table and reports all the bits as free to write. The demolition process in that case starts when you overwrite the old data with a new one.

You can still recover it as long as you didn't write anything over it. It might take some better software and a long time but its doable.

If the card was formatted by using a low-level formatting process, there's no possibility to recover the data. That's why I asked about the essence of the "deep format" term. However.:ange:

How much are you willing to pay if i recover data after a low level format? ^^ I'm talking about HDD's NOT SSDs

As long as a know, it's about a memory card, not a hard drive.

As much as you say.:D  Just prepared a low-level formatted drive (160GB Seagate) for you. There were 3 folders on it - "pics" with 100 photos of my home cat, "music" with nearly 300 songs from VA, and "software" with about 120 programs. That's around 82GB of data. I'll pay even if you recover 30% of the data. :sol:  Where to send you the drive?
