dell vostro 1540 not booting after bios update fail

i have dell vostro 1540 laptop ,i tried to up date bios ,but during bios update my latop shut downed ,after i restart it wont reboot ,,,,giving blank screen with beep sounds ,,,,please help me to recover my laptop ,,,,if u r having suggestions

Try BIOS update again using the non-Windows method which boots from a floppy disk or pen drive (instructions should be on the BIOS update web page), and make sure your laptop is plugged in to mains supply, not running off the battery.

how i can update bios settings without display sir , after restart my laptop giving blank screen with beep sound then how i can reset my bios sir
and tell me the step by step procedure to reset bios with floppy disc

sir when i asked to laptop technician " he said that if bios update fails u have to replace mother board ",,,,,,,is above procedure will work for dell vostro 1540
