Hi I would like to get a computer around a budget of about $650-700, I would like to be able to run battlefield 4, crysis 3, and other games on high. I also want a 6-8 core processor. Please try and work it out so that it is affordable to my budget, ie I live in Australia.

Solution
For that budget, I just don't think it's going to be possible to do what you want. 700 AUD is about 630 USD. Then knowing parts are more expensive in Australia, you're looking at getting less power for the money than here in the US. Just to give you an idea of the parts that are within your budget.

And that's not even including an OS, case or disc drive (if needed). The 260x may be able to play BF4 on High, but some of the settings will have to be turned down.

Solution
Can you post a link to where you might buy parts in Australia?

Few games can use more than 2-3 cores, much less 6 or 8.
Do you plan on running other apps that might make use of many cores?

As a guideline, I suggest budgeting 2x your cpu cost for the graphics card.

Perhaps you could post a prospective build.
